White Stripe
Giclee print on archival quality paper.
On this murky, misty Sunday morning, I decided to take our dog for a walk on Walton Heath, camera in hand as always. We strolled through the clearing, following a path I have taken numerous times before, but on this particular morning something caught my eye. Amidst the thick mist, stood an aged silver birch tree, its trunk completely split in half. Maybe it had been struck by lightening or perhaps it had been a victim of strong winds but, despite its weathered appearance, the tree seemed to emit a gentle glow, casting an otherworldly light compared to the trees surrounding it. Its unique beauty earned it the apt name of 'White Stripe' and I couldn't resist capturing this enchanting scene.
Print will be rolled in tissue and sent to you in a card postal tube.
