Former graphic designer and photographer, Stephen Foster, has lived and worked for most of his life in Surrey. He was a partner in a Design Consultancy for more than 30 years but, since retiring in 2018, he has been able to spend more time exploring and photographing the beauty of this leafy county, from the intimate to the panoramic.

What started as a mere hobby has now evolved into an obsession and he has amassed a considerable collection of images in and around The Surrey Hills National Landscape. Now, alongside some of his design work, he has been inspired to launch an online shop featuring a selection of his favourite images in the ‘Surrey Hills Portfolio’.

With a keen eye for detail, he endeavours to capture Surrey’s gentle beauty and to try and the very essence of what makes this landscape unique. Also, with his experience as a graphic designer, he understands that true beauty lies not only in the subject matter, but also in the quality of the prints. Using state-of-the-art printers, inks and museum quality archive paper, every print captures the vibrancy, clarity, and depth of the original photograph, ensuring that the artwork remains stunning for years to come.
