The Three Amigos

These three graceful silver birch trees stand on Walton Heath. I love the harmony created between them as each tree echoes the lean of the other. I also love the delicate interplay between their slender limbs, as if they are tentatively reaching out to each other, seeking solace and assurance from their companions. It was a soft, hazy day in early Autumn when I took this photo and the trees were starting their transition into a golden yellow. They stand in a shady spot but a soft backlight gave the leaves a delicate glow which added to their gentle beauty. I fondly refer to them as The Three Amigos as they seem to embody unity and support. Individually they appear vulnerable but together they stand connected and resolute.
