Silver Lining

from £27.00

Giclee print on archival quality paper.

The view was breathtaking from Salomons Memorial on Box Hill. As I stood there, gazing out at the vast expanse of rolling fields, the dark and stormy clouds looked very foreboding, casting a somber pall over the landscape. I started to wonder whether I was going to get very wet in the downpour that, no doubt, was imminent. Not wanting to get myself, or my camera gear drenched I quickly turned away and headed for the woods where I thought I might get a bit of cover.

Luckily, just before I entered the shelter of the trees, I turned back to take one more look. At this very moment a crack in the clouds appeared, and golden rays of sunshine pierced the gloom, illuminating the fields below.

It was an amazing sight which definitely lifted my spirits plus, the rain also held off, so I avoided a soaking. I think this was a time when the cloud did indeed have a silver lining!

Print will be rolled in tissue and sent to you in a card postal tube.
