Denbies Hillside – Winter Blues

from £27.00

Giclee print on archival quality paper.

On this bitterly cold Winter morning, I ventured out as the sun was rising, its early morning glow casting a warm hue across the landscape. As I walked, the frost-covered grass beneath my feet crunched with each step. The air was still, and a hazy mist lingered, wrapping the scenery in a dreamlike veil. Standing for a moment to take in the breathtaking sunrise, I couldn't help but be captivated by a long, thin bank of cloud that stretched across the sky as far as the eye could see, basking in the gentle rays of the sun. The cold was starting to bite and so I moved on, heading towards the Broadwood Tower spur, a vantage point overlooking Denbie's Hillside. To my delight, I encountered a mesmerizing optical illusion. The cloud that had caught my eye earlier, now adorned with shades of pink and lilac, seemed to vanish behind the rise of Denbie's Hillside. The mist, coiling around the land, blurred the distinction between the hills and clouds. This ethereal scene left me spellbound, where there was no distinction between land and sky and it was difficult to tell if I was looking at a cloud or a vast mountain range.
